TEPS Erasmus+ Visit to Holland on 17th of March-21st May 2017

Nil Özveren Aşkın and Ece YILDIRIM were the visitors of Holland for the project.

We arrived Holland on Wednesday afternoon. After a short railway trip, we met our coordinator Anton in his village.

On the first day, Anton hosted us in his house for dinner. He and his family were very hospitable. There were partners from  Chech Republic, Greece and Spain in the dinner. On the other morning, Meave from Ireland also joined us for the following days.

On Thursday morning, we were in the school of ‘Het Palet’ for the first meeting.

In the meeting, we had a brainstorming about some important points of the project. The main concern was the evaluation of the first year. Answers for the questions in the mobility tool were discussed step by step. We used our Spanish partners’ answers as an example. Thank you Jose for the answers..

About the schedule of visits we made the appointment that we agreed with the timetable and that every partner school will indicate which 2 or 3 weeks will fit best in this period. These options will be send before the 1st of June to Anton. He will make the final schedule and send it as soon as possible to every partner so that tickets can be ordered early so that we can save budget.

We agreed that we will talk about the satellite schools next meeting/year.

We repeated that every partner will make at least 4 boxes per schoolyear.

Lastly,  we came up an idea that we will upload our publications (newspapers etc.) on a special page of our website (perhaps with a small summary in English). Eva will make this and she also will inform us how to upload it.

On the other hand, we had a chance to see the classes in the school. First, we visited the kindergarten. It was a crowded class but every of the students seemed very enthusiastic. The classroom was full of technological devices. They were working on their shopping project. I asked the teacher about it and she kindly responded to me.

Nil and me wanted to see a lesson with tablets. We were in a classroom with students using tablets during the lesson, it was a good way of learning and saving time. In that class, we also made a few boxes.

After we visited the classes, we met in one of the empty classes and Eva presented us her box of a robot following colours. On the other hand, Anton showed us ‘Da Vinci Bridge’ and I introduced Elements 4D application on my phone  as an example.

On Friday, there was an excursion to the windmill of the town. It was a good surprise for us. We learned some technical issues of windmills. It was very excited to climb to the windmill.

The last day of our visit was Saturday and we were welcomed to Anton’s house party in the afternoon. In the party, we made a box of Da Vinci Bridge. We made the huge version of the box all together. However, it worked! It was Anton’s big surprise for us…
