FOR STAFFS OF PARTNER- AND SATELLITE SCHOOLS.           5-1-2019

Here is some news about our friendly child and teacher’s project about the survey all schools will do in the next period, see the next Bulletin 19.

Survey. During the former meetings, we have been talking about the survey that is part of our contract. In Lindi we agreed to do this survey again in the 2 first month of 2019 and to mail the results to every partner. More about this in Bulletin 19. Here are the first results of the survey 3 years ago:

Description of what is done in preparation by our organization and by our partners before the actual project activities will take place, e.g. administrative arrangements, etc.

The coordinating school Het Palet in Opheusden they also checked all the documents of the curriculum of the school, did an inventory of their resources and an analysis of methods they used in their schools, including those policy documents for the teaching of science and technology.

During this period they had contact with several institutes that could be helpful in advancing the project. The skills and expertise of staff in these institutes, such as the institute of De Ontdekhoek, will be of great advantage to the project and they can assist in supervising the project and making tools for evaluation of the material. They also have a broad range of specially designed experiments where children can explore and discover various scientific facts. Het Techniekpunt is another specialist organization that provides science and technology lessons for primary schools.

The coordinator of the school sought out organisations in Europe, which were interested and had similar experiences with science and technology or schools that wanted to innovate their education on this subject. There was contact via Etwinning and email. A survey was held.

The results will be discussed and analysed so that they can be used every year and at the end of the project for the final evaluation.

The schools that had corresponding results or that could give substantial support and develop the plans, were invited to join Erasmus+. Every school had staff meetings to discuss the aims of this projects and this issue was also discussed at parent meetings or school boards meetings, thus creating broad support for the project among parents and staff.

All participating schools have sought the assistance of external organizations that could support their school (the so called “cluster schools”), as the Dutch school did, and have also asked the associate schools in their region to work together, sharing experiences with the development of the lessons, experiments and resources.

The results will be discussed and analysed so that they can be used every Erasmus+ year and at the end of the project for the final evaluation at the end of the program.
